The Chippewa School District received $25 million in funding from a local levy and the state of Ohio for the new Chippewa Junior/Senior High School (grades 7 through 12), which is approximately101,000 square feet and supports approximately 640 students. In addition, this project included a $3.5 million, 11,000 square foot performing arts center which was locally funded. The total project cost was $28.5 million for an overall 112,000 square foot facility. The new school features a 21st century education design: classrooms, administrative offices, chemistry labs, a full cafeteria/kitchen, a performing arts theater and a gymnasium. The building is served by a high efficiency chilled water plant, a condensing heating water boiler plant and a non-proprietary building automation system.
